I read it and like the idea, I just wonder how a wife would get her husband to attend. No, I'm not married yet, but from observation, it seems as if women are usually more interested in these type of seminars. What could she do to get him interested with at least an ounce of enthusiasm?
Suggestions to entice your spouse to marriage counseling:
1. Get them to understand the importance that seeking education to strengthen your marriage means to you and him.
2. Love Coupons. Each time he/she gets a special treat. (Yes, this is bribery.)
3. Give them a choice if there are several to give them at least a say so on when and what you're going to do.
4. Throw in classes they'd enjoy that will make it seem as if they aren't "working." Many shun "education" or "workshops" because they think it's not fun. Classes that they'd enjoy not only bring a since of closer intimacy between you two, but will make it fun.
