Random Thoughts From How to Love A Black Woman

I seem to come across a lot of things in my life as I get older and wonder about them.

Instead of trying to conquer a long blog post, I decided I'll throw them in when I think of them and just see what's on your mind too and see what you think of my random thoughts.

Women repeat themselves a lot when they're talking verbally. i think growing up with a single parent as a father has made me notice this annoying fault.

Yet from a woman's perspective it's not to nag, but to reiterate what was said, since it feels as if we are not being listened to.

Cure for men if you want to stop this? Acknowledge what she said and repeat with a rephrase to show you understood.

I'm not saying i'm an expert at this man is from mars and women from venus stuff, but I think that will stop the repeatious.

Another thing that's been on my mind about men is why when you do not want to give your number to them, or when you refuse them, they feel you are selfish and you don't really mean no?

And then those that do these, some even resort to trying to make you feel guilty for not saying yes or giving them what they want?

Do they know how desperate and weak they sound when they resort to this tactic?

Why don't next time I say no or refuse you and you don't like it, I just kick you in the balls? Will that make you walk away and leave me alone.

It's not that I dont feel honored that you ask, but if I tell you at this point in my life I don't want another friend, then why can't you just leave it at that. Do you actually think I'm going to hold your number for two to five years and then pull it out to say, "Hey, maybe I'll give him a call?"

Is that what you're imagining?

WRONG!

Next random thought:

Why can't men just dress up anymore for no reason at all?

Why is it every time I see you, you have on jeans and a throwback?

What's wrong with just walking out the house with nice dress pants and shirt on? I'm not saying throw on a tie, but hell, if I have to shave my legs, put on makeup and comb through this jungle God gave me and called it hair, to wear a dress or really nice clothes, why can't you just look good too? Don't you think I'd like to have you as my eye candy sometime and not just when we go to dress up functions?

And lastly:

How can you smoke outside of church?

I mean I think that's just an abomination, isn't it?

You're not really practicing a religion, you're just visiting because isn't that tobacco what you really worship?

That's enough random thoughts for now. Are there any on your mind?
