CHEAPER
When a married couple is ready to call it quits, they always want different things. Raymond Mays (Brian McKnight) wants a divorce and Morgan Mays (Vivica A. Fox) wants alimony. When the fed-up judge bangs her gavel, she decides Morgan doesn't deserve half... she deserves it all. Morgan gets everything-the house, Raymond's retirement, and some would say even his self-esteem, leaving him with nothing but the thought; it would have been cheaper to keep her. Raymond has two options to prevent him from paying alimony: kill Morgan or get her married off to someone else. As ex-husband and ex-love face off with each other, broken hearts will get revenge and hearts and marital matrimony will collide only to discover if it's easier to love her as his wife.

The Oprah Effect - Happy Memorial Day!

Last year CNBC debuted this show, but as you all know, I don't watch regular TV.

I found the show online and decided to share this with you over the Memorial Day weekend.

Synopsis of the show

Talk show superstar Oprah Winfrey is one of the most well known cultural and financial icons of our time. CNBC’s Carl Quintanilla explores The Oprah Effect and how she turns no names into brand names.

If you have trouble seeing the video, you can watch the entire episode at:

Join Us at www.LoveABlackWoman.com for The Sunday Night Movie 8pm EST

Remember back in the day, when your family gathered around the "television" on one specific day?

We'll Sunday is that day to bring it back just for you.

I'm going to start a movie series and pray we can keep it going. You can make comments during and after the movie is over and hopefully you'll invite some friends.

Happy Memorial's Day

Are you ready for a long and relaxing Weekend?

I hope during this month, you have learn the art of "asking for help". This month's topic for the Journey of Self-Care was asking for help to make your life easier. I hope you will solicit all the help you need to make this holiday weekend one that truly is memorable and enjoyable without undue stress and overload.

As we move forward, I want to invite you to think of your time as a valuable resource that once used, it can never be recaptured. As you plan your upcoming days, manage your time by thinking of what is the most value you want to receive from an activity, an event, or whatever you are engaged in. Think of your life as fulfilling time, and not just merely passing time. What mark do you want to make on each block of time you spend? How will others remember that time? Will they think of you as a person that was enjoyable to be around? One who balanced her needs while helping others? One that others want to help because you are giving with such peace and warmth?

This month we want to remind you to take time for you, and prioritize what you have to do for others, so you don't over-commit. Keep your daily "to-do" at 6 things only, one of which is for you personally. Learn more on managing your time on our next conference call on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at 9pm (EST).

Love Language Day and Spy Novels Are Splendid Day,

Today, I decided to talk about these Days To Celebrate

Love Language Day :

The Art of the Spark: 12 Habits to Inspire Romantic Adventures (Celebrating Our Lives Series)I found after reading a review on the Art of Spark it was highly import to know the languages of love. I was mad at myself for not being able to understand the language until then. Once I understood, education is truly power and I know in myself how to speak clearly of my own love wishes and listen to his. I also send Gary Chapman's newsletter on my site, where he clearly talks about loving communication. His book is very good as well.

I tried to Google this day to find the official day site, but nothing was found, so I've written about it here as a reminder that today is the day.

I also added Spy Novels Are Splendid Day. That's because I love books and I super lover spy novels and I wanted my blog to consist of this today. I couldn't find an official spy novel site for this day.

Search Amazon.com for spy novels

other days for today is also:

Ngali Nut Day, Indoor Swimming Pool Birthday, Sierra Club Birthday &
Amnesty International Birthday

Be blessed and have fun celebrating!

7 Questions To Ask Before Trusting A New Partner

 http://cdn1.us.yourtango.com/story-page-img/article_images/Logo.jpg

Ask yourself the following questions before putting your trust in a new relationship.

NPR recently featured a story on people who have Williams syndrome, a rare genetic disorder that makes it biologically impossible to distrust others. That is, they suffer an imbalance of oxytocin, a hormone that the brain generates after perceiving a non-threatening situation. Learning To Trust Again

Although the story focused primarily on children's trust in strangers and on society's trust in the government, it inspired the question of how we perceive the trustworthiness of desirable strangers. When we date someone new, how do we gauge their trustworthiness? How do we even know that our "trust radar" is functioning properly? 7 Ways To Stay Positive About Dating

Unfortunately, we often come to question a partner's trustworthiness after a relationship where trust was broken.Thankfully, there are ways to prevent that from happening again—without becoming a total neurotic. The next time you're considering putting your heart on the line, we suggest you simply ask yourself the following questions:

The "Hunter House" - Supportive Independent Living for Young Ladies project is coming right along . What was meant for evil has turned out to be a great blessing. Someone broke into the upstairs window, went into the basement and in their attempt to steal the hot water tank, flooded the basement. Fortunately, the house is insured and the insurance company will cover all damages. Praise God!

I have until Wednesday 5/26/10 to raise enough to close on the house, so I am asking you once again to treat yourself.

We have mini-spa tickets that don't expire until 1-year after the purchase date. Please consider purchasing (2) tickets for yourself or for a gift for a friend, employee or co-worker. The mini spa package includes a back massage, foot massage and exfoliating hand treatment, all for only $25.

Men and woman alike benefit greatly from this fabulous relaxation session.

Please share this flyer with your church, classmates, women's organization and other friends. If you would like to assist by selling some tickets for this great initiative, give me a call at 313-443-2571. If it is not in your budget to assist financially, please just forward this message to your friends who need to relax and release. They'll be glad you did.

Monday Morning Motivation - "What's In Your Backpack?"

Monday Morning Motivation
"What's In Your Backpack?"
Greetings!

People often say that when something bad happens, or when you go through something that you're supposed to put the past behind you and move on.  This advice has always seemed to make a lot of sense but now that I think about it, where does all of that past that you're chucking over your shoulder go?

For years, every time I experienced a setback, a failure, a disappointment or the like, I simply tossed it behind me and kept things moving along at a rather brisk pace.  Then one day I realized that I just felt heavy.  I got to a place where I just could not move forward anymore.

In church on Sunday the Pastor touched on this subject, and he said that back in old days the punishment for killing a man was that his dead body would be tied to your back.  Imagine having to go through life with a heavy, smelly rotting dead person on your back.

That dead person represents the old you.  I know that image is rather grotesque so let's liken the dead person or the old you to an over sized and over stuffed backpack.

When you put your failures behind you, you are placing them in an overweight back pack that represents your emotional and psychological baggage.  In order to move forward it is necessary to acknowledge or address those things or people that have hurt or harmed you.  I've found peace and healing in using those negative situations in my writing, thus helping others while simultaneously freeing myself of the extra baggage.

So today I encourage you to remove that back pack, empty it out. Lay the things that were in it out before you. Deal with them, learn from them, and use them as stepping stones so that you may reach further and higher without the heavy burden.

This year's host city is St. Paul, Minnesota and the national competition is six days long which is where the bulk of expenses comes in as well as travel, membership fees, registration, etc...
The crowned champion not only enjoys bringing such prestige back to their city, but the artists are almost always booked heavily for the years to follow and become removed from the starving artist title.
