
Sisters Acquiring Financial Empowerment (SAFE) Celebrates 5 Years and 500 Survivors Sisters Acquiring Financial Empowerment (SAFE) is celebrating five years of assisting victims of domestic violence become self sufficient. In honor of this milestone SAFE is hosting their 5th Annual Appreciation Event on Friday, July 22, 2011 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.at the beautiful Detroit Historical Museum. Hosted by Tracey McCaskill, News Director/On Air Host - FM 98 WJLB & WMXD Mix 92.3, with a special keynote address from Carolyn Clifford, Channel 7 News Anchor, this event will honor survivors of domestic violence that have taken steps toward financial preparedness. SAFE will also present the "Acquisition Award" to recognize program participants who have successfully completed SAFE programs and made significant strides towards financial stability. For a donation of $35 guests of the event will receive a tour of the Detroit Historical Museum, strolling buffet, participation in the silent auction, admission to the Awards Ceremony and much more! Immediately following the Appreciation Event SAFE will be having an Afterglow at the Detroit Seafood Market/PV Lounge. The donation for this is event is $15 and it will feature complimentary Hors d'oeuvres, desserts & live entertainment by ZanYe'
