When people are referring to the term mama's boy, they are usually referring to its negative side. Below is a list of traits and qualities of a mama's boy:

He is a grown-up man who is attached to his mother in an excessive manner.
He has an extremely close relationship with his mother.
He still lives with his mother after the age of 35, and he has never moved out in the past.
He takes care of everything for his mother.
He does not live with his mother, but he must speak to her on the phone every single night before he goes to bed.
He asks his mother for her advice on everything, and he always act accordingly to her suggestion.
He would drop any task he was working on and take care of his mother's needs.

In fact, most men should have some of the traits described as above because a man's mother is perhaps the only person in his life that treats him with truly unconditional love. There is a famous saying stating that you can tell a lot about how a man will treat his wife by the way he treats his mother. Assuming it is true, that being a mama's boy is actually a wonderful thing, because a mama's boy will treat his wife the way he treats his mother. However, in order for a relationship or marriage with a mama's boy to work well, the following conditions must be met:

He works out a balance between the time he spends with his wife and his mother.
When there is an argument between his mother and his wife, he will either remain neutral, or he will go up against his mother to support his wife.
He does not ditch his wife whenever his mother asks him to run some unimportant errands.
He does not always follow his mother's suggestion, he will also discusses with his wife.
He does not tell his mother about his issues from his relationship or marriage.
His mother likes you, you and his mother do get along.
His families like you, you and his family members do get along.

Being a mama's boy does not necessarily mean he is emotionally dependent on his mother. A man could be a mama's boy and a responsible husband at the same time. Being in a relationship or marriage is never easy, when dealing with such issue, the husband needs to be able to strike a perfect balance of attention and support to both of his wife and mother. If dating a mama's boy means you have to compete and battle with his mother for his love, attention and time; it can be extremely exhausting and frustrating.

As a common scenario, the mother of a mama's boy is often picky, demanding and bitter towards her son's girlfriend or her daughter-in-law. The mother often think she is not good enough for her son, and becomes jealous of her. Especially if her son tends to support his wife during arguments. There is not much that the wife can do about his mother's perceptions towards her; she can only try her best to win her love. If his mother continues and insists to ignore her efforts to cultivate and form a better in-laws relationship, there is a method that you can try to win her heart. You need to let you man know that you do like his mother by telling him wonderful things about his mother. Why? Because he might pass your genuine and sincere message to his mother. Your words coming out of his mouth can work magic on his mother! She might change her perceptions towards you because of the positive things you have said about her!

You should never force your man to choose a side between you and his mother. Most men do not want to be forced to make such decision. As an intelligent and wise woman, you have to educate your man to act as a communication bridge between you and his mother. Last but not the least, do not forget to remind your man how much you love him, and how much you appreciate his understanding and efforts to act as a bridge and lubrication between you and his mother to avoid conflicts!

As we ring in the New Year, we have to evaluate what really is true and what we're hoping to be true.

They say being single around this time of year is the most depressing time of the year there is.

I want to say to all that it doesn't have to be depressing. Use these last moments of the year to start making affirmation instead of promises of what you want to change about yourself. And don't worry. If you fall off the horse, just get back on and start back over.

Are You Chasing After an Idealized Version of Love?

Over the years, I have known many women that seemed to struggle to find the love that they were so desperately seeking. And many times, I could see that what they were chasing did not really exist. What they seemed to be so eager to find and so disappointed by many times, is an idealized version of love that really only exists in a fantasy world.

I think you know what I am talking about. The kind of hot and steamy romances that you see on soap operas, in movies, and in those romance novels that are so often written by women who have never really had much success themselves.

If you have found that your love life seems to suffer more than it needs to and if you have also found that you are not finding the kind of romance that you seek... it may be because it does not really exist.

I'm all for true romance. And I do believe that any woman can find a love that is passionate and satisfying. It's just that there is a thin line between what is really possible and what it is only possible in fiction and fantasy.

It's easy to get caught up in dramatic plot lines and steamy sagas and hope that you may be able to experience something similar in your own life. However, that can sometimes come at a price that is too much to pay. And that is when a woman will pass up on the real thing and hold out for something that will never come to pass.

Truth is, love is everywhere if you are willing to look for it. And although it may seem a little less alluring than the kind that can be created in the human mind, it has its qualities that cannot be recreated as well.

There are going to be arguments in any relationship. And there are going to be times when it seems as though things are not as easy and as smooth as we want them to be. Love is not as cut and dry as you see it in films and read about in books. Even the best men are going to have their bad qualities and their habits that get on your nerves.

When you feel like you just cannot succeed when it comes to love, the question that you may need to confront is... are you chasing after an idealized version of love? Or are you seeking the real thing?

Article: What Is Love? The Four Elements of Love

Philosophers have been struggling to find an adequate definition of love for thousands of years. Love is a complex subject. It is fluid and changes over time as a relationship ages. What is love to one person is not to another. Is love a feeling or an emotion? Is love a more cognitive concept; such as a choice?

What is the difference between hearing "I like you" and "I love you"? A few years ago I discovered an article* on the triangle of love. Sternberg argues that a love relationship consists of three elements, namely: intimacy, passion, and commitment. When a relationship is based on just one or two of these components the love relationship takes on a different character. A relationship based only on intimacy, for example, is no more than just liking a person.

Similarly, when a relationship is only based on passion the relationship is infatuation. When a relationship is only based on commitment we find empty love; the couple is just living together. There can also be combinations of two elements in a love relationship, such as, intimacy and passion resulting in romantic love.

Other possible combinations are between intimacy and commitment resulting in companionate love, and between commitment and passion resulting in fatuous love.

What is very important is that most happy, healthy, and lasting relationships contain all three of these elements: intimacy, passion, and commitment. Sternberg calls such love consummate love. May I be so bold as to suggest that Sternberg's model lacks an element of love which I believe is as important as the other three. That element of love is relational safety. Relational safety has to do with how safe each partner feels in the relationship. This elements asks the following questions:

• Is it safe to tell you my secrets?
• Can I really open up my heart to you?
• Will you still love me if you know who I really am?
• Will you use my disclosure against me later on?
• Will you laugh at me or joke at my expense if I tell you what I really think?
• Is my heart safe in your hands?
• Will you keep my heart's secrets safe?

Without relational safety real emotional intimacy will not develop into a deep and rich experience. Marital love requires emotional intimacy, physical passion, commitment, and safety for it to flourish and last.

It may be helpful to assess your relationship along these four elements of love. Are there one or more elements of love which are not doing well in your relationship? Is your relationship balanced (regarding these elements)? Is there any element that you may need to work on? You may find it beneficial to:

• Regularly have a heart to heart talk with your spouse about these four elements of love
• Honestly inquire how committed you are
• Measure emotional intimacy by how often you talk and about what you talk
• Flirt, play, and build the passion between you
• Resolve to be a safe spouse

I think loneliness is a fear all of us face - myself included, but we're mostly all afraid to admit it (myself included - again).

I came to a decision a long time ago, I'm not going to look for love and I've been "ok" by myself.

Yet, this question often comes up and with the holidays hitting which has been deemed the most "depressing" days for single people, I thought to offer some solace and comfort in this department by presenting this article.

If you are sick of being single, fed up with failed relationships, and simply starting to get SCARED about your prospects for finding true love and marriage, this article was written with YOU in mind.

As a love intuitive and relationship advisor, one of the most common questions (and crisis's) I hear about is from women who are sick of being in bad relationships. Or sick of being single, and going on disappointing date, after disappointing date.

What I'm going to do below, is simply lay out a super simple strategy that ANYONE can use to discover true love, and find a partner you can marry, settle down with, and ultimately find true happiness. (because I really believe that is our ultimate destiny, and what we are all alive to achieve)

Here is exactly what you need to do to active your own "inner intuitive" and find the love of your life.

What to do FIRST:

Visualize your perfect partner. Who is he? What does he look like? What does he do? How does he treat you? How do you interact, and what does your relationship look and feel like? Get into an intuitive space where you actually see, sense and FEEL who it is that you truly are looking for...and describe, detail and document everything you see.

What to do NEXT:

Look at the relationships you've had over the last 5 years with an unflinching eye. Be honest. Be truthful, and compare the perfect partner you've visualized above, with the kind of men you've been dating. Do they match up, or is there a huge disconnect? Usually, pretty much without fail, there is a HUGE disparity between who we want to meet on a gut, intuitive, spiritual level.....and the kind of people we actually HAVE been meeting instead. And more often than not, this simple realization can be the catalyst for an amazing opening where the "Universe" and your own awareness come together to make GREAT things happen going forward!

What to do last:

Quite simply, align your intentions, and your energies with your intuition. Move from a head based dating strategy to a HEART based approach. I believe that each of us is born with a soulmate, a perfect partner for life...and our challenge is only to be open enough, and aware enough to acknowledge they are out there.
Once you do some simple visualization and intuition exercises like above, it's amazing how quickly you'll find yourself meeting the kind of man you truly crave, and find that ONE relationship that lasts a lifetime to boot. (especially if you are brave enough to ask the universe for help!)

I've learned a lot about relationships but the most important thing I've learned is that relationships take time and need time.

In our busy life - and it gets busier by the second of every day - we start to put current relationships on the back burner as an under appreciation of them, or don't find the importance in a new relationship and just expect the person to "understand" our busyness.

In truth, we're hurting and damaging the relationships because we didn't follow the most simple rule of a relationship - Make Time For Love.

THE PURPOSE OF LIFE is to learn how to love, and life is the learning ground toward that end. Time is the biggest barrier to love. Somehow we must reinvent our perception of time in order that we would endear ourselves to love.

We need T.I.M.E. for love.

TENDERNESS is the ideal input to love, whether it's romantic, compassionate, friendly, or passionate love. It melts empty love, breaking the ice, enabling the early vestiges of intimacy. Another name for tenderness is gentleness or meekness, and certainly patience - these all abide blissfully in time.
People who pose no threat to the other person find there is no barrier to trust.

INTIMACY is a transaction between two, and trust is the product. Little do we realise, tenderness finds us there. The wonderful thing about intimacy is the comfort we enjoy as we share time with another person, in mateship. There are no truly awkward silences, no fear of eye contact; no secrets.
God made us for these experiences. In all our relationships we should aim for intimacy, which is a bilateral honest transparency without the semblance of fear for being ourselves.

MOMENTUM is created and forward the journey continues toward varieties of consummate love, which can be enjoyed in any relationship.

If the goal of our lives is to learn how to love, surely we want to take our intimacy with the other person onto the track of momentum where rapport will become a sustaining event. (Because life is ever-changing, we are advantaged in viewing life as an elongated series of events.)

Maintaining momentum is not always an easy thing to do. Circumstances and a lack of reciprocation have a lot to say. But as we invest time, strangely the circumstances move more in our favour.

Time is the currency of relational commitment sustaining our momentum.

ETERNITY is where love is destined. The Bible tells us that faith, hope, and love will endure forever, and that the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13).

The raw truth is, as we stroke the momentum in our relationships we're creating a raft of blessing that we'll later redeem in eternity. God loves a lover and their practice of love will continue on and on.

Time is the secret. Many wives and children may complain, within themselves and possibly with each other, that their husbands and fathers don't spend enough time with them. Relationships cannot be nurtured on the T.I.M.E. process unless the motive is right, and when the motive is right, time is no longer the issue.

With tenderness we love, and intimacy is therefore nurtured. This creates momentum, and that forward motion, whilst love is present, is taking our love all the way to eternity.

If you feel you are 'single and lonely' these steps will get you out of this rut. A lot of people write this to me ...

Being single does not mean you need to feel lonely, and being in a relationship does not necessarily rule out loneliness. Let's explore why and see how we can find a solution to this emotional pain.

First of all, yes, in an ideal world we would all be in a fantastic relationship, surrounded by a few true friends and completely fulfilled in our own professional life (whatever form that may take). The reality is very different; believe it or not, in my experience I have noticed that very few people are truly fulfilled and, if they are, such fulfillment comes from within: some of the happiest people I have found had nothing, no close family even, but essentially were completely at peace with who they were and their path in life.

OK, let's clarify this. In order to be successful in your personal life and achieve happiness, and also in order to get out of the 'single and lonely' emotional trap, it's essential to do the following:

1 - Find out who you are. Think of the person you want to be and what you would be if you had the choice to be anything. Would you be working with animals? Would you be a world traveler? Would you work 9 to 5 or be self-employed? What is your strongest passion in life (food, travel, music, the arts, movies, books, writing, the Internet, animals, nature, swimming, night clubs... etc?). Find out what really gives you happiness and, if you're too much in pain to talk about 'happiness', which activity or interest makes you feel at least 'OK'? This is for 2 reasons: a) because it helps you in your own inner peace, an essential quality for anybody who is serious about finding true love and b) it establishes your true identity, essential to find others who are also 'true' about themselves and their love.

2 - Stop lying to yourself and others. Don't fake your age, don't fake your dreams and your expectations; don't fake your successes. Just be whoever you are and learn to be happy with that. You'll be surprised to find that people prefer honesty one thousand times over anything else; if you are true to yourself in a way that conveys a healthy dose of self-esteem you will end up attracting equally emotionally healthy individuals. It's the only way to make sure you don't continue to suffer in love. You may scare off some 'gold-diggers' or some 'superficial, light-heads', but who wants to share one's life with people like that anyway?

3 - Stop trying to follow 'societal' parameters. So what if everybody seems to have a family, 2 kids and one dog? You are unique and you need to find what will be that makes you really happy. I need you to understand an essential point, which may be hard to accept but is so important to grasp: if you don't have that 'square' life, it probably means that, somewhere inside of you, you don't really want it, for whatever reasons. Don't feel bad about it! If more people followed their own individual dreams, there would be far fewer people who on anti-depressants! So, you need to find out why and find out who you really are and what you really want from life (which takes us back to point 1).

4 - Learn to be happy with yourself. This may sound like a cliché but, in brief, if you don't like your own company, how do you seriously expect others to like it? Only those who appreciate themselves can truly attract others who will also appreciate them.

5 - Take care of yourself. Don't treat yourself badly, don't always go for the cheapest, most horrid food just to save a dollar, don't buy the worst rag in the market all the time... Treat yourself once in a while, be your own best friend. I had to learn this myself: I started by buying good quality organic food (after all, I need to take care of my body, right?), then I started walking in the sun (I live in a cold-climate city) and, whenever possible, walking on the beach not to 'look for' potential mates but to soak up the ocean, look up the beautiful sky, breath better air. Then occasionally I would 'take myself out' to a fancy place or anywhere I really wanted to be, rather than waiting to go with my 'soul mate'. Soon I was beginning to enjoy life and that began to show in my body and in my overall 'attitude', which, in turn, turned me into a much more attractive person to any potential mate.

"Happiness Is A Choice"

Greetings!

When asked the question, "Do you want to be happy?" there are few people in the world that would answer "No." Despite the fact that we all believe that we want happiness, our actions and thoughts often say the exact opposite. Think about it...

We often wish for things such as good relationships, more money, a better car or home and the like. When we get those things, we may be excited at first, but before long we begin to want for something more. There's also the common behavior of self-sabotage. We find ourselves in a really good situation, then out of fear we tend to focus on or try to find the problems. We've become comfortable in states of crisis and chaos so that when the calm finally comes we feel the need to conjure up some crazy.

With this being a case, we all need to take a step back and ask ourselves... "Do you REALLY want to be happy?" If so, stop getting in your own way!

Here are some things that I am working on to help me to embrace the joy that is all around me instead of focusing on what is or what could go wrong...

Focus on the big picture: Many of the small things that we focus on aren't even worth our time or energy when we look at them in comparison to the big picture. If your spouse is loving, responsible and everything that you've always hoped and dreamed for, does it really matter that they don't put their shoes in the spot that you believe that they should go from time to time? Take inventory of what really matters.

Watch your mouth and your mind: How we talk and think has a direct effect on what we have. When I forget this, I put a big thick rubber band around my wrist and pop it (hard) every time I have a negative thought. This helps to train your brain to remain on the positive. I got this idea from a book called, "The One Minute Millionaire: The Enlightened Way to Wealth" by Mark Victor Hansen and Robert G. Allen. Speaking of wealth, I've come to realize that the only reason most of us have not reached our financial or professional potential is because of our thoughts and how we speak.

This week I challenge you to examine how your words, thoughts, actions and behaviors align with your desire for happiness. Take a close hard look. You'll be surprised at what you find. Once you discover what's holding you back, take the necessary steps to get a little bit closer to happy.

Love is one of those human concepts that just cannot be defined by science, as it is more than an emotional state and it delves deep into the core relationship of what a human being is and how he or she relates with others. It is a familiar but strange thing altogether, and throughout the eons there has been several distinct discussions on the matter of love's meaning and what can be comprised as an element of such.

The Greeks were one of the earliest, if not the first, to classify several types of love and each classification refers to a different angle that love can take on. They generalize the idea that there is no such thing as universal love because their logical reasoning points out that love for a friend is different than love for a husband or wife.

The five different Greek classifications are as follows:

Epithumia - this is love defined as strong desire and it is usually associated with lust and sexual attraction although desire can also be the foundation of pulling individuals together that can lead to other forms of love.

Eros - this is romantic love, the love associated with the strong tide of emotions when a couple gets into full swing. This sort of love, strong of passion and longing, is mostly experienced during the first two years of a relationship where the couple longs for continuous companionship with their partner.

Storge - storge is basically affection and it is the type of love that builds well around the other forms of love. It is a safe spot for couples since it is the type of love working around the sense of belonging and acceptance. It can be regarded as a boring aspect of love since it doesn't take further actions but it can be a shield for a relationship that uses storge along with the other forms of love.

Phileo - classified as a cherishing love, it is the aspect of love that requires response from the people involved and it is usually associated with friendship. It is the type of love that tackles an active relationship where the two individuals build on camaraderie, sharing, and strong communication and through this companionship they build a strong sense of trust.

Agape - agape is unconditional love, where one accepts to love the other despite their differences, despite all the conditions, despite the mistakes and hardships and this is usually the love that marriage strives to reach and it is the love that many associate with a higher being.

The five types of Greek love are the common forms of love that many associate their emotions with since they are the more popular classifications and since they have been distinguished very few have tried to work separately from these concepts. Love has many different faces but even the Greek agreed that a perfect relationship - which in turn might be impossible to attain - is one which reflects all five faces and it is the idealistic goal that everyone should strive to live and love for.

Good Morning Octavia,

Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your
trust in the Lord. Psalm 4:5

Though this Scripture contains only one sentence, it actually says a mouthful. It admonishes us, as believers, to offer the sacrifices of righteousness.

Living holy, or "right" in an unholy world can be quite challenging. Especially when the media and the world around you throws

sexual images in your face all the time, and when it also is an unspoken "expectation" among couples after a few dates to have sex (which is again why it's important to set the abstinence expectation up front so no one will try to "go there" with you).

However, it is possible.

With God all things are possible, right? Jesus sacrificed His body, something He actually didn't want to do as He cried out in the Garden of Gethsemane, ...O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me... (Matthew 26:39)

He knew what was about to go down because Jesus read the book, and He knew He was about to be beaten so badly that afterwards He wouldn't even resemble a man.

(Isaiah 52:14)

But, in spite of how hard it was on His flesh, He did it anyway. He realized the reward was much greater than the sacrifice.

In the same matter, we are to offer our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and acceptable unto God (Romans 12:1)

Our flesh may not like it, may not want to do it, and may even remind us from time to time in our daily walk that our bodies crave another warm body, but, we must remain pure and holy before God in our Christian walk, anyway, because we realize our reward in heaven and on earth is greater than the sacrifice. As we offer the sacrifice of righteousness with our lives, we trust that He will bless us, He will keep us, He will reward us.

Are relationships important in our life journey on this Earth? Absolutely!

A very special man and wise elder, John Red Hat, spoke to me about relationships. He had awesome insight in spiritual matters such as love, compassion, and how to relate positively to others.

Red Hat shared with me the following information about how we relate to one another. He told me, "I remember when I was a little boy. I had dreams of being in the Nazi death camps. In my dreams, I saw the love the mothers had for their babies. When they were herded, naked, into the poison gas chambers, being told they were going to take showers, I saw mothers hold their babies so tightly that they literally suffocated them to death. They did this so their babies would not be at the mercy of the enemy. Then I truly began to understand the tremendous depth of a mother's love, and I wept with them."

There are so many ways in which we relate to one another. We have the material world which involves shelter, sustenance, and other issues related to physical survival. Then we have our emotional well being which can be built up or torn down by our interaction with others. No one stands alone in this world.
Humans appear to be social creatures.

We learn and grow when we interact with others. Everytime we overcome negative energy, we grow closer to Creator. One of our greatest opportunities to overcome darkness and grow spiritually is through our relationships.

Every moment we have new choices to make. It is like millions of thoughts go by us on a conveyor belt and we get to choose which ones we will follow through on. For instance, if someone says words which are meant to hurt us, how do we choose to react?

Our first "automatic" response is generally from our subconscious. If our heart is full of love for others, then our first response will likely be a warm, kind, loving one. But if we feel anger and hate in our hearts, then our response will more likely be one trying to cause someone else pain.

I believe one of our main purposes for our life journeys is to grow closer to our heavenly Father. How we relate to each other can be a tremendous growing experience. Every time we respond to someone else in a loving way, we grow closer to Creator. Our opportunities for spiritual growth are tremendous in today's chaotic world if we choose the way of loving-kindness. That was the way of our great patriarch, Abraham.

"Blessings In Disguise"

Greetings!

Everything happens for a reason. My Mother always said this to me when I was younger. It has stuck with me over the years and continues to ring true time after time.

Recently I was offered the opportunity to facilitate some workshops and I was asked to send over my rates. I was excited about it and I thought that this would be the perfect opportunity for me to take my own advice (from a previous Monday Morning Motivation) and ask for what I was worth. When I started out as a motivational speaker, trainer and consultant, I would often do appearances for free to get my name out, show people my skills, and give back to the community. Now that I have begun to build a brand and a name for myself, and people know that I offer high quality work, I've decided that this is a great time to begin to charge at least the industry standard for the work that I do.

I created a scope of work and submitted my request for payment. There was a quick turnaround time and I had tons of other stuff going on in my life, so I didn't feel bad about asking for what I asked for. Some time passed and I got the news that they could not approve the amount I requested because their budget would not allow for it.

In the past I would have been extremely disappointed, but I took it well knowing that things that may look like a disappointment are often just a blessing in disguise.

It didn't take long for that disguised blessing to show up. Once I found out that I wasn't going to do the engagement, I spent the extra time that I'd allotted for preparation for an upcoming real estate auction that I planned to participate in with my new investing company.

To make a long story short, my partner and I ended up with four amazing investment properties, two of which were two family units, so you might as well say that we have six. We got all of these amazing houses for a total of $2850. One of my properties was a gigantic, beautiful single family home that I won for ONLY $500!

Had I taken that trip to do that speaking engagement, I never would have won so wonderfully in this real estate auction. I wouldn't have been present to give the time, energy and attention needed to acquire the properties that we won. Now, instead of that one time payment for the speaking engagement, I have properties that will continue to bring in rental income month after month for years to come.

I shared this experience to show that we must not let setbacks or disappointments take us out. They are often just blessings in disguise. The next time that something happens that you're not happy about, take a step back before you get upset and wait patiently for the blessing that is disguised by the problem.

Guys buy girls gifts or take them out, leaving their girlfriends with a date about as memorable as a visit to the dentist. Most guys aren't terribly creative or original which is why roses are sold out by morning on Valentine's Day and you can't book a table at the nicer restaurants either. Everyone thinks to say I love her they have to do exactly what everyone else does. Wrong! Girls like originality.

Give Her Your Best Self

If you want to give her something, the best you can do is to actually giver her your best self. I don't mean to be yourself, whatever that lousy high school advice means. Figure out who you are at your absolute best and offer that to your woman. Be confident, successful, fit, and great in bed. That's what women really want, a guy who can meet their physical and emotional needs, not a bunch of gifts.

Give Experiences

If I had a dumpster for all of the junk I've gotten on birthdays, Christmases, anniversaries, and Valentine's Days, it would be full. Actually, I have filled a dumpster, or maybe two, because a lot of what I've gotten from friends and lovers has been tossed. It came from Hallmark or the WalMart seasonal section, had no sentimental value, and was pretty much junk. Most people in the United States, especially your wife or girlfriend, don't need more crap!

Most people prefer to have experiences rather than getting junk. I had a friend who's father gave her a hiking trip to Mt. Kilimanjaro as a graduation present. It was a life changing experience she'll always cherish. While you may not be able to provide that kind of experience for someone you love, remember that even little experiences are better than "things."

Take her into town for a special event, drive to a new spot in the country and have a picnic, or better yet take her out to do something that shows her your adventurous, edgy, or mysterious side.

Be A Man

Don't try to bribe women with gifts or use them to kiss up. When I taught high school, I received a lot of great gifts from my students. They came from the heart and I valued them. A few times, however, kids gave me presents because they thought it would get them an 'A.' They didn't get a good grade and I tossed the gifts. Women don't like guys who try to suck up and bribe them, so don't buy sappy presents when she's mad at you or send flowers if you think she's cheating.

Be a man at all times. Give your gifts in a manly way that's also consistent with your personality. And, only give them if she deserves them, not to kiss up, make up, or bribe.

Be Creative, But Not Dumb

If you can think of other ideas to say I love her, then by all means do them. In fact, if you'd like to share, please use the comments section here. However, don't do things or buy things that make you look stupid or weak. Usually this happens when you act in a way that resembles her girlfriends. For example, breaking down into tears when she gives you a gift is beta male behavior and won't make her like you.
